Built around an earlier defensive tower, it became the residence of important bishops who controlled much of the region. Although only ruins remain today, its distinctive tower and peaceful park setting make it one of the country's most atmospheric castle sites. Visitors can explore the ruins, enjoy riverside walks and cycle through the surrounding Kromme Rijn countryside.
