The castle began as a medieval fortress before becoming a luxurious aristocratic residence. Inside, visitors can see historic collections, armour, hunting trophies and rooms reflecting the lifestyle of European nobility. Beyond its history, Konopiště is an excellent outdoor destination with woodland walks, cycling routes and peaceful countryside surrounding the estate.
