Scone Palace, near Perth, stands on the ancient crowning place of Scottish kings, where the Stone of Destiny once sat on the Moot Hill. The present Gothic mansion, still a family home, houses fine collections of furniture, porcelain and paintings amid extensive grounds and gardens.
