Dating from around the Iron Age period, the settlement contains hundreds of stone roundhouse remains protected by impressive defensive walls. The site demonstrates how communities adapted to Wales' challenging landscapes, choosing high ground for protection and visibility. Visitors who climb to Tre'r Ceiri are rewarded with extraordinary views across Snowdonia, the Llŷn Peninsula and the sea. It is one of Wales' greatest ancient sites for hikers and adventure travellers.
