Lake Balaton, with a length of 80 kilometres and an average width of 8 kilometres, is the biggest lake in West and Central Europe. Large water slide in Lake Balaton The campsite is located in the tourist town of Balatonfüred on the northwest side of the lake. Balatontourist Camping & Bungalows Füred is a large campsite with many guests and many activities, but there is plenty of room for everybody to enjoy the sun on the grass by the shore of the lake. The water here is not very deep, making it a safe place to swim, even for children. There is a small beach close by where they can play. From Tihany to Budapest Sightseeing boats depart from Balatonfüred. The nearby Tihany headland is also good to visit. Anyone who goes camping in Hungary should visit a wine tasting or try some of Hungary's delicious regional produce. A trip to the capital Budapest is a romantic journey back in time, although the city doesn't only boast old palaces and castles along the Danube, but also has modern, trendy shops.
